Soaking the filters in water for 2 minutes before use and rinsing them with clean water can help remove any activated carbon dust. If the pre-filter sponge is slightly larger than the pump, you can trim it to ensure a proper fit.

Replace the filters regularly to maintain the water quality and protect your pet's health. Depending on your pet's drinking frequency and the number of pets using the fountain, replace the carbon filter every 2 weeks and the foam filter every 4 weeks.
